MURMURATE

Flooding the pastel palette of skyscape
Ebony clouds bubble into blissful blisters
Of whirling wings
Tarry turbulent tornadoes
Pulsating throbs of effervescing
Energy and euphony
Lemniscate haloing heaven

Yet back on earth the glossy swarm
Shatters into singletons
Jerky clowns buzzing like cell phones,
Whistling up klaxon and car alarm
Stomping on scraps stumbling beaky
Barking nasal all casual iridescence
Thrusting fragmented onto fences
Angular on aerials

Crick-necked we gaze above for inspiration
Mesmerised by synchronicity's ebb and flow
Yet rather than gather in grace
To sculpt collaborative
Mosaics of mutual miracle
We find ourselves downed
Splayed and sloppy
Guzzling up garbage
Earth-bound mimics of mundane
